My name is Heather Spiel, and I teach violin lessons in Briar Chapel, NC

It is my goal to teach correct and natural violin technique, while helping students enjoy exploring music. I work with the parent and the student to form an understanding of the violin for meaningful practice time. I mainly teach classical repertoire, but will also focus on note reading, scales, and theory.

It is also important for me to provide performance opportunities for each of my students so they (and the parents and families) can see how they've grown!

About Me

Violin study began at the age of four in my family. From All-State to small group ensembles I have been involved in music a lot. I enjoyed doing this so much I decided to go to Brigham Young University-Idaho to continue my musical study. I was concert mistress of two of the top orchestras and learned so much from my fellow colleagues there.

After graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in Music I went on to play in the Idaho Falls Symphony and begin a studio of my own in Idaho Falls and Rexburg, Idaho.

We have planted our family here in Briar Chapel and are thrilled with the artistic community we are a part of in the Chapel Hill area. I have taught violin for over years, and hope to teach your students in the coming years here in North Carolina.
